Hello!
I’m James Kimber. I’m originally from Portland, Oregon and started out as an old-school pen journalist in Sasebo, Japan in 2001 and have added photography and building websites since. Besides Sasebo, I’ve covered places ranging from Sardegna, Italy to the island of Fais in Micronesia and topics from high school sports to UFC and hamburgers to the U.S.’s SOFA colliding with Japanese culture.
Most of my career, I’ve been in Yokosuka, Japan, a port city of roughly half-a-million people and home to the U.S. Navy’s largest overseas installation.
Feel free to reach out and share your favorite coffee recipe with me.
